Have you ever felt uninspired by your job? We all want to be a part of something meaningful however the reality is that, with time, we may start to loose that feeling.
Here are some simple ways of learning how to get your motivation mojo back!
1. Develop an appreciation for the little things. Gratitude journals can really help with this. Writing about that one great co-worker who brightens your day, the amazing cafeteria or even the fact that you are employed can set the path forward to positive motivation.
2. Use mindfulness to watch your emotions when it comes to feeling frustrated with a difficult co-worker or a task that you might feel has no value. Perhaps there really is a purpose to that meaningless administrative task that you don't like!
3. Get excited for the success of others. This one is a little unconventional, but it really works. Whether it be a promotion or the successful completion of a project, celebrating your co-workers accomplishment builds relationships and improves positivity within yourself. These are both key ingredients to increased productivity and job satisfaction in the long run.
4. Be the captain of your ship. If you feel stuck or unmotivated, maybe it is time to re-evaluate your goals. Are they set too high? Perhaps they were too easily achieved? Take some time to think about what you would like to achieve and start a road map.
Do you agree with these points? What are your tips to keep motivated at work?
