Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and things just don't feel balanced? Try gentle morning routine and rediscover the joys of a slow start to your day.

  1. As you open your eyes, take a moment to pause. Are you warm and cozy? What is the first thought that popped up your head?

  2. Take your time and be mindful of how you adjust to your awakened state. Check in with your body. Do you feel the weight of yourself on the mattress? Perhaps the feel of your blanket resting on your arms

  3. Note your present moment awareness building. It's time to sit up and let your feet touch the floor.

  4. A glass of warm water to energize your digestive system and a squeeze of lemon if you wish will set the right tone for your body.

  5. Sit with yourself for a moment or two. Share a moment of gratitude for the chance to start a brand new day. Once you feel centered and ready to tackle the day, place your two feet firmly on the floor, feel the pressure as you raise your body to tackle a brand new and exciting day.
